Available Shifts:

1 st Shift: Monday-Friday, 8a-4p

2 nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 4p-12a

3 rd Shift: Monday-Friday, 12a-8a

Overtime on weekends on either voluntary or mandatory basis available

Job Description:

Snelling has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Machine Operator in Mattawan, MI. This position will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of manufacturing machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. This position will also work on continuous improvements with regard to workmanship standards, standard operating procedures, and safety regulations. The Manufacturing Machine Operator should be able to work independently and demonstrate a proactive, problem-solving attitude.

Manufacturing Machine Operator Job duties include:

• Prepare and operate manufacturing machines, such as lathes, shears, millers, presses, drills, etc., to produce high-quality product for final processing.
• Load and unload material and product onto the machine
• Ability to read a blueprint or job orders to determine product specifications and tooling instructions
• Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures
• Inspect and troubleshoot machine as issues arise

Manufacturing Machine Operator Requirements:

• Previous machine operator or assembler experience required
• Ability to accurately follow a variety of work instructions
• Ability to multi-task on a variety of projects
